Bumdoodlers' Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Ingredients
  

Peanut Butter Base

  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • Baked pie shell

Hot Chocolate Pudding

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 Tablespoons sifted cocoa
  • 1⅔ cups milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • ½ Tablespoon dark vanilla
  • cups whipped cream
  • ¼ cup chocolate syrup
  • ½ cup mini peanut butter chips

Instructions
 

Peanut Butter Base

  • In a small mixing bowl with a beater, mix crunchy peanut butter and powdered sugar. Add milk a little at a time until it is creamy, but not runny. Then pour into a baked pie shell.

Hot Chocolate Pudding

  • In a saucepan, add sugar, corn starch, cocoa, milk, and yolks and cook until is thick and bubbling.
  • Then add butter and dark vanilla.
  • Top the peanut butter base in the baked pie shell with the pudding and refrigerate.
  • Top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and mini peanut butter chips before serving.
