
Casa Mangiare's Bolognese Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ oz extra virgin olive oil
- 1½ oz white onion, finely chopped
- 1½ oz carrots, finely chopped
- 1½ oz celery, finely chopped
- 11 oz wagyu short rib (cut into small pieces)
- 4 oz tomato puree
- 2 bay leaves
- ½ oz basil
- salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the oil. Then add onion, carrots, and celery and gently brown everything.
- Add the meat to brown it with the onion, carrots and celery.
- Add the tomato puree, bay leaves, basil, salt and pepper and cook over a low flame for about two hours.
