Lobster Salad Rolls from Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 lemon
- 4 Tbsp diced celery
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¾ tsp celery salt
- 3/4 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
- 3-4 Tbsp butter
- 4 split-top New England hot dog buns
- 36 oz meat from one whole, cooked Maine lobster
Instructions
For The Dressing
- Cut the lemon in half.
- Squeeze juice from each half of the lemon (remove any seeds) until you have 4 Tbsp of freshly squeezed juice.
- Wash and finely dice the celery.
- Combine mayonnaise, celery, sour cream, lemon juice, celery salt, and black pepper, and stir until all ingredients are mixed well.
For The Lobster Rolls
- Allow the butter to soften at room temperature. Once softened, spread butter evenly on both sides of the split-top New England buns.
- Heat a pan or griddle to medium heat.
- Place one side down in the preheated pan or griddle over medium heat. Grill each side of the bun until both sides are golden brown.
- Remove buns from the pan/griddle.
- Toss the lobster meat with 4 heaping Tbsp of dressing (Please note: you may have dressing left over, but we recommend not overdressing).
- Then, place the lobster salad mixture evenly in the toasted buns, serve chilled, and enjoy!
