Franklin’s cheap sangria
What a great time of year to visit some Texas wineries. If you haven’t visited Dry Comal Creek Winery on Hwy 46 just west of Gruene, then put it on your list. Franklin and Sabrina Houser are delightful hosts, plus you’ll taste a wine you don’t find very often that’s made from Black Spanish grapes…a unique vino. While you’re there, ask to try their sangria. They were nice enough to give me the recipe to share with you.
Carnavalito a la Fiesta from Melissa Guerra at Pearl
Melissa Guerra – who owns a fabulous store in the Full Goods Building at Pearl Brewery – sent me this recipe for Fiesta.
