John Soules Foods’ General Tso’s Ramen

Ingredients
  

  • One 24-ounce bag JSF General Tso’s Chicken
  • 5 cups low-sodium chicken stock
  • 4 scallions sliced thinly, plus more for garnish
  • One two-inch ginger root thinly sliced
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce plus more as needed
  • Tablespoon mirin (Japanese rice wine)
  • Tablespoons GOYA® Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 6 ounces shiitake mushrooms stemmed and thinly sliced
  • 12 ounces dried ramen noodles
  • 4 soft boiled eggs halved lengthwise
  • Toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced jalapeños for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 ° F. Prepare the JSF General Tso’s Chicken according to package instructions.
  • Meanwhile, In a medium saucepan, combine the stock, scallions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, mirin and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Discard the ginger and add more soy sauce to taste. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes more.
  • In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain the noodles and divide between four bowls.
  • Divide the ramen broth between the bowls, then top with the JSF General Tso’s chicken and soft boiled eggs. Garnish with more scallions, toasted sesame seeds and sliced jalapeño. Enjoy!
