Hope Farmers Market Green Smoothie

You can't beat a smoothie for a nutrient-dense breakfast with lots of flavor and fiber, which will help you feel fuller longer. We love this Green Smoothie recipe from our friends at Hope Farmers Market in Austin that packs iron-rich spinach in the mix and even flax seed, which is packed with fiber and Omega-3 essential fatty acids or the "good" fat!

Servings 1 smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup of carrots
  • 1 frozen peach
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 cup of spinach or kale
  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender, and process until you get a smooth homogeneous liquid. It is important that you process the ingredients for at least half a minute so that all the ingredients are mixed well. If you want a thicker smoothie, simply throw in a few ice cubes and process until they are crushed.
