Pina Colada with a Texas Twist
This is a true Texas twist on a pina colada that mixes good ol' Texas beer with pina colada ingredients. You can mix all the ingredients in a glass - or mix them right in a half-full beer bottle (drink the other half of the beer before you get started). If you mix it in the bottle, finish it just like you would with a Corona - add a lime wedge, cover the bottle opening, tip over and back. Then sit back and enjoy this two-steppin' Texas colada!
- ½ bottle Texas beer (drink the other half to get started!)
- 2 oz light rum
- 1 oz Goya cream of coconut
- 3 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 wedge lime
Option 1: Pour ½ the beer in a pint glass (drink the other half before you get started). Then add all ingredients to the glass, toss in a lime wedge and enjoy! Option 2: Drink (or pour out) one half of the bottle of beer before you start mixing. Then add all ingredients to the half-full bottle. Add a lime wedge, cover the bottle opening, tip the bottle over and back. Enjoy!
