Tanji dropped by KPRC in Houston this week with some great recommendations on where to celebrate the Spring holidays around H-town. Whether it's Easter or Passover you're celebrating, you can find plenty of holiday food in the city. At Kenny & Ziggy's in Post Oak Plaza, you can make your Passover one to remember with their famous Matzo ball soup. You can even order it online and take it home (it freezes well too)! For something a little more indulgent on your holiday table this year, place a to-go order for their stunning raspberry chipotle smoked salmon.
Next, head over to The Chef's Table in Vintage Park for some Easter dishes that will wow your guests. For a memorable meal, try the beef wellington. Tanji says, "Their beef wellington is classic, amazing. Perfectly cooked tenderloin in the puff pastry." The mouthwatering lamb is pretty darn good too!
For a spot a bit further north, head to The Woodlands and settle in at Terra Vino Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar. The brunch French toast is made with fresh-baked Italian bread and it's a must-try dish! You can't go wrong with the Tuscan shrimp either. They also have a great wine list!
For dessert, Tanji shared a recipe for pistachio chocolate cupcakes using Dubai chocolate, which is all the rage right now. Why is Dubai chocolate trending? Tanji says, "There's pistachio cream, phyllo dough, and texture inside. I'm telling you. One bite, and I was sold!" For the irresistible pistachio chocolate cupcake recipe, click here!
Of course, no visit from Tanji is complete without a few wines. For all your spring holidays, Tanji recommends Ultimate Provence Rose, The Calling Pinot Noir, and Bartenura Mostaco D'Asti - a Kosher Italian wine that's perfect for Passover! And of course, all of these wines - and many more - can be found at your local H-E-B.
