Frank Cranberry Compote
This tart and tangy cranberry compete from Frank in San Antonio is a must for your Turkey Day table! Just as good with fresh or frozen cranberries- your choice!
Ingredients
- 4 cups Fresh Cranberry (sub frozen if it's easier)
- 4 oz Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1 oz Unfiltered Apple Juice
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 Tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Add liquid and fruit to a sauce pan - bring to slow roll. Incorporate sugar and salt.
- Reduce heat and let simmer until nice and velvety.
- Serve hot or cold! Add more sugar if you like, we love the subtle tartness with this recipe.
Notes
Pro Tip: Serve this with Turkey or with good Sausage or with Waffles & Fresh Whipped Cream for breakfast!
Extra Pro Tip: Spike it with Ginger for a nice "bite"!
