
940's Kitchen and Cocktails’ Shrimp and Shishito Pepper Grits
Part bar, part bistro 940’s Kitchen & Cocktails does shrimp and grits their own way with Shishito and adobo peppers.
Ingredients
Fontina Grits
- 3 oz prepared Grits (prepared according to package directions)
- 2 oz Fontina cheese
- 5 roasted and diced Shishito pepper per single plate
Shrimp
- 6 pan seared shrimp
- 4 oz andouille sausage
- 3 oz chopped tomato
- 2 oz heavy cream
- 2 oz Chipotle puree
- 1 pat of butter for mounting
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Fresh chive and chive oil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Fontina Grits
- Prepare grits according to package directions.
- Stir in Fontina cheese and diced Shishito peppers.
Shrimp
- Pan sear shrimp and andouille sausage together (salt and pepper to taste).
- Add chopped tomatoes until good and cooked.
- In a separate sauce pan mix the heavy cream and chipotle puree and add butter for mounting.
- Combine all ingredients in sauce pan and pour over grits.
- Garnish with Chives and Chive oil around edge of dish.
- Multiply by servings desired.
