A Good Time to Get to Know Wine

I think most wine experts would agree that it would be practically impossible to learn everything there is to know about wine. The more I learn the more I realize how much more there is to learn.

Mike and I have taken a variety of courses, read a number of books and still the pursuit to know more is in full throttle. One of the best instructors we’ve ever had just happens to live in San Antonio.

Janet Easterling is a sommelier with an encyclopedic memory. Her vast knowledge of wines…varietals, producers, good and bad vintages, you name it from all over the world is enviable and very impressive. Lucky for all of us, she’s teaching her wine classes again, and they just happen to be at one of my favorite restaurants…Soleil Bistro.

2008 Schedule of Classes

We will taste 8 wines per class. This is a classroom setting “please be prompt”. $25.00 + Tax (Reservation Requested). Seating is limited to 13 and on reservation only.

Another class will be added at 11am if 2:30pm class is full. Call Jean-Francois at 210-408-2670 for reservations. Please call to cancel as soon as possible for refund. To enhance the experience, No smoking, No perfume or cologne. All other material will be provided. Wines will be available on presale. Buy a case receive a 10% discount.
