While so many of us are breezing through the holidays with family and friends, our incredible brave men and women are are still serving this country all over the world. Now, there’s a way to celebrate the season and help our wonderful military folks who sacrifice for us on a daily basis.
Raise a glass in their honor–but not just any glass. Throughout November and December, Josh Cellars is raising money to help our nation’s military families-in-need. A dollar from every sale of California’s Josh Cellars Chardonnay and Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon will be donated to Operation Homefront.
“We want to help make the holidays brighter for our soldiers who sacrifice so much to protect our country. Operation Homefront provides aid where it matters: to the homes of military families who need support every day,” said Joseph Carr, producer of Sonoma-based Josh Cellars.
The California wine is named after Carr’s father, nicknamed Josh, who proudly served in the army.
Operation Homefront has helped over 590,000 military families across the nation and is based in San Antonio. Since 2002, Operation Homefront has invested $128 million of funding in programs to support families when they need help most. Much like the military, they have a “no man left behind” attitude to help every military family possible.
The program provides emergency assistance in times of hardship. Everything from financial aid to emergency food, critical infant supplies and home repairs, to local moving help and community events are available for military members and their families.
Josh Cellars wines are sourced from the North Coast appellation of California. Josh Cellars offers two classic California varietals, a Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon. You can learn more about the wines at: www.josephcarrwine.com.
