One of my favorite wineries to visit in all of Sonoma is Jordan Winery. Yes, the wines are consistently wonderful, but the stunning views and the experience of the outdoor tasting tour are quite spectacular. We took our cameras on a recent tour if you’d like to see more.
But, if you’d like to taste more Jordan, there’s an excellent opportunity at an upcoming wine pairing dinner at The Granary, one of San Antonio’s most highly acclaimed newer restaurants located in the Pearl complex. Brothers Tim and Alex Rattray run the spot and are known for their incredible smoked meats and fire cooking. BBQ guru Steve Raichlen is a fan.
I have no doubt the Jordan wine pairing dinner there will be fantastic. The six course meal will be paired with some interesting Jordan vintages – the Jordan ’07 and ’12 Chardonnay and the Jordan ’99, ’02 and ’05 Cabernet. Plus, produce grown on the Jordan estate will be incorporated into the menu along with Jordan’s signature extra virgin olive oil. So, mark your calendars for Monday, August 4.
