One of the most fun and relaxing ways to spend time with family and friends is through outdoor entertaining. When the weather’s this nice, just about everything else seems to come together too!
Goodtaste’s Hospitality Coach, Linda De La Garza, has some excellent ideas on how to make your open-air table look fabulous, and for little to no money at all…
Linda calls it the ‘EMS’ of party planning – entertaining made simple. With any summer table, she recommends starting off with a white slate (tablecloth). This gives things a nice clean and modern feel. Next, large silver charges complimented with a white dish on top, as well as white cloth napkins.
The idea is to keep this part fairly basic, giving yourself options when deciding on how to dress up your center. Since we went for a tropical theme with ours, an easy, appropriately-themed centerpiece can be a large glass jar filled with seashells. We included some tropical floral designs as well…for about $1.50!
Our water pitcher was even jazzed up with fresh slices of lime, cucumber and springs of mint. A few key pieces can really set the mood 😉 .
The ultimate way showcase your table, complete with sizzling seafood off the grill is with a resort-style pool. Transform your backyard with help from the Pool Czar himself, Keith Zars. He’s in the business of doing just that! A breezy, pool environment spiffs up any backyard setting, providing a cool place for families to gather and children to play for hours at a time.
Cook around it, entertain around it and see just how much joy it can bring to your home life and the people you love. For more delicious recipes and fun food and wine pairing ideas, subscribe to my newsletter.
