The name “Corelli’s” has longevity with locals in Sugar Land. This is ‘roll-up-your-sleeves, cooked-from-scratch’ Italian cuisine (the kind we crave) for over 18 years and things have only gotten sweeter!
Now that temperatures have cooled off outdoors, I love dining out on their charming covered patio. Soft lighting and music meet Old World decor, complete with Wisteria vines running up along the quaint archways. Very fit for a relaxed evening out.
As you can imagine, nearly two decades of business don’t happen by accident. Here, food is still the star. And the portions aim to please.
Most popular might also be the most conventional, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less delicious! Corelli’s Spaghetti is Papa Corelli’s own blend; spaghetti tossed with the restaurant’s fresh homemade sugo rosa sauce and joined by their famous meatballs. Just the right touch of pasta and protein!
If you’re carb-conscious, the Salmon Florentine is quite good. That’s grilled salmon served on a bed of spinach with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes with a white wine lemon butter sauce:
The pizza also has a faithful following here, and Corelli’s Special comes loaded with everything but the kitchen sink — Canadian bacon, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, onion, bell pepper, mushroom and olives! Or you can build your own…
Corelli’s New York Style Cheesecake is a show stopper! Made in-house with Corelli’s very own recipe, I’m told it’s a lengthy labor of love.
And for something fun and different – Corelli’s Dessert Pizza – a house specialty! Take sweet pastry dough shaped like a pizza, topped with soft Italian mascarpone cheese and your choice of fresh berries, apples with cinnamon and brown sugar or fresh pecans and chocolate sauce:
Yes the appeal is plenty at Corelli’s, as well as an impressive private dining room for your next extended family gathering. For more delicious recipes and fun food and wine pairing ideas, subscribe to my newsletter.
