There’s a wonderful wine dinner Tuesday night featuring a winery many Houstonians have a special connection to. You might recall some years back, local businessman Terry Davis’ son was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Eager to help with research funding, the Davises started a food and wine event featuring an elite group of chefs and winemakers…Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller and Michael Mondavi to name a few. Many thousands of dollars were raised for the cause over the years.
These fabulous events spurred the Davis’ to pursue their love of wine, and they are now making wines in Napa—Frisson wines. And, you have a great opportunity to experience these wines at a wine pairing dinner at Masraff’s in Uptown on Tuesday, January 13:
If you’re a long time reader here, you know the wine dinners at Masraff’s are among my favorite. The attention to detail, the service, the food—all impeccable. What a nice way to start a new year – meet some new friends, try some wonderful wines and enjoy a special dinner in one special spot. Plus, Frisson’s winemaker Wayne Donaldson will be there to give you some interesting insight on the wines.
Cystic Fibrosis continues to be an important thread in Davis’ lives. Their son, now the father of two boys, is happy and well. In fact, their entire family thrives and enjoys their adventure!
