One of Austin’s original craft breweries, Independence Brewing Co., celebrated its 10th anniversary last year and just recently launched their fourth canned beer with a summer seasonal, RedBud. It’s inspired by traditional German summer beer and is tart and lemony!
We all know that beer makes a great companion to many foods. The argument could be made that it’s an even better match for cheese than wine! I know, hard to believe, but see what you think after a few slices of the gooey good stuff from Antonelli’s Cheese Shop. 🙂
When pairing beer with cheese, you really want the flavors in one to bring out (or enhance) the flavors in the other. And vice versa. Rule #1, however, is to have fun!
1) Power & Light Pale Ale / Clothbound Cheddar
2) Bootlegger Brown Ale / Gouda
3) Independence RedBud / ANY Smoked Cheeses
4) Independence Stash IPA / Aged Blue Cheese
