Get a temporary taste of Chef Brian West’s flare for Asian fusion cuisine when you visit Empress this October and November. A pop up lasting up to 60 days is something San Antonio has yet to see – and this one has a purpose! With ten percent of gross sales to be donated to select area non-profits, look for Empress to really impress!
Chef West, a former CIA instructor, has already had incredible success with Smoke in Stone Oak. Empress joins the newly minted Hidden Dragon Cocktail Lounge in the former location of China Garden off Blanco Road. The two should compliment one another other nicely… 😉
We got a preview of Chef West’s rendition of Pho, featuring tender sliced brisket from Smoke! If you’ve never had Pho before, think of it as a Vietnamese version of Tortilla Soup: highly garnished with warming spices and a flavorful broth.
The Empress Pop Up for A Purpose will commence Thursday October 1 at 4:30pm and run for the month of October and November, Tuesday-Saturday.
