Cheers to the martini that sets the mood this holiday season! When you’re caught up in the frenzy of holiday shopping or struggling to find the holiday spirit in the midst of a busy work week, we’ve got some great choices here that will inspire you to slow down and savor the season.
Up first – The Reviver, said to be the original martini recipe, the first one ever on the books dating back to the late 1800’s. Love the name, especially this time of year!
The Cipriani from the restaurant by the same name in NYC, reminiscent of the original Harry’s Bar in Venice. No bells and whistles on this martini–it’s the real deal.
Feeling festive? Then, the Candy Cane Martini (pictured up top) is for you. It hails from Hotel Contessa on the River Walk in San Antonio, one of the most colorful, festive locations in the state this time of year.
Celebrating the season, you’ll love this Salty Caramel Pretzel from Masraff’s in Uptown H-Town. It reminds me of the warm, salty pretzels that taste so good on the streets of NYC this time of year.
Need another excuse to have pumpkin, something comforting that reminds you of home? This Pumpkin Martini from my friends at Masraff’s is delicious. Even pumpkin skeptics will love this luscious drink.
In the mood for something sassy, seasonal and sensational? Then, check out Martina McBride’s Cranberry Martini. You can also make this with tequila, but I prefer vodka.
