My HEB – FM3009 @ IH35 – finally began carrying the Lamberti Prosecco you showcased a couple of weeks ago. It was worth the wait. It is the best Prosecco I have found and I’m completely happy with it. Tonight’s show had a champagne that I haven’t heard of but will try this week if HEB has it in stock. I don’t often buy it but I am a 40 year Dom Perignon devotee.
My wife and I went to Bermuda 4 or 5 times back in the 70’s and early 80’s. We were there when the Dom that was available, at a ridiculously low price by the case, was the 1975 vintage – one of the 2 or 3 best champagne years in the history of the drink. We were there for almost 2 weeks and bought 3 cases – 2 to drink and 1 to bring back. Needless to say, your suggested bottle has some gigantic shoes to fill. But if it is of the quality of the Lamberti, I will be in for a penny, in for a pound.
I do love your show. It always has me slobbering and drooling over the 3 venues you go to. Tonight included El Chaparral in Helotes. We’ve been semi regulars for many, many years. My brother lives in Helotes so we manage to get there 5 or 6 times a year and unless it’s a holiday where we do our own cooking, El Chaparral is always the choice.
Again, thanks for a great show. You hit the nail on the head much more frequently than that bleached platinum blonde Guy from California!

Thank you for the kind words. I hope you like the Lamberti – it’s a Prosecco, so a totally different style than your beloved Dom! 🙂
