This June, treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind, wining and dining experience! We’re talking about Wine and Food Week in The Woodlands, one of the biggest and most fun foodie events in all of Texas.
One of the reasons I love this event so much is because it allows me to try so many new wines. If you’re on the hunt for your new favorite wine (aren’t we all?!), I highly recommend setting out for Wine and Food Week, beginning Monday, June 4 and ending Sunday, June 10. Get more event details right here.
Let’s start with the food. One spot I’m excited to sample at Wine and Food Week is Broken Barrel — their Grilled Octopus from Spain is exquisite. It’s marinated for several hours and then layered over creamy carrot hummus, chorizo oil and charred cherry tomatoes. Order a round of their Pulled Duck Tostadas (above) for the group, made with Hoisin-style duck and pickled vegetables.
Jumping over to Jasper’s now — we love their stunning Sesame Crusted Tuna, nestled over citrus wasabi aioli and cucumbers. But what I love is their Summer Plum Salad with burrata cheese with prosciutto perched on top (below).
Now for the wines! You’ll find all of these at Wine and Food Week and at your local H-E-B.
