Wine and dine at one of our favorite Goodtaste-approved brunch spots in Houston, or bring it home and make one of these restaurant’s signature dishes in your own kitchen. Also, huge thank you to Kuhl-Linscomb for the beautiful place settings! Don’t worry – we didn’t forget the wine! We also have 3 bottle picks that are guaranteed to please. Hugo’s
Brunch at Hugo’s is like no other! Make your reservation now, or cook up one of their brunchtime classics at home: Chilaquiles with Green Tomatillo Sauce. The homemade sauce packs so much spicy, herbaceous flavor, but is surprisingly easy to whip up. Also, don’t miss their lunch or dinner, they wow their diners with dishes like a whole Huachinango a la Veracruzana.
Pecan Creek Grille

This all-day breakfast spot kicks up their Shrimp and Grits with a generous amount of cheese and spicy jalapeño. This savory dish is a fan favorite at the restaurant and now you can make it at home without the wait! Or, try your hand at making your own homemade chorizo, simply saute the meat until cooked through. Pour in some beaten and seasoned eggs, scramble and you’re good to go! This goes great with a variety of sides like refried beans, hash browns, country potatoes or warm tortillas.
Relish Restaurant and Bar
We love lunch and dinner at Relish, but you do not want to miss their Saturday brunch! The Chicken and Waffles is a crowd favorite. The insanely-juicy chicken is marinated for 48 hours before being deep-fried to a golden crisp! For something lighter and on the sweeter side, make their granola at home and pair it with fresh fruit and yogurt. It’s perfect for a make-ahead breakfast!
