Tanji’s Wine Finds:
First, the Poema Cava Dulce from Penedès, Spain. It is made the exact same way as Champagne, with two fermentations giving it lots of tiny bubbles. It has the perfect combination of delicate fizz and peachy sweetness. ($10)
Rosés pair with just about anything. The Charles de Fère Réserve Rosé Dry is a sparkling wine from France that’s also made in the same way as Champagne. It’s very soft and fruit-forward. ($16)
Last is the Riondo Prosecco Spago Nero. It is a dry Prosecco made in Italy. It’s light-bodied, crisp, and very refreshing, with a delicate aroma of apple and pear. ($11)
As always, you can find all of these wines at your local H-E-B or buy them online at HEB.com. Don’t forget: Get 10% off your entire purchase when you buy six or more bottles.
