While it doesn’t quite feel like it yet, fall is here! This season, head to the Pearl and grab a seat at Southerleigh where they’re serving up a new fall-inspired menu. I visit my friend Shelly Miles at San Antonio Living and share some of my favorite Southerleigh dishes for brunch, lunch and dinner. Also, don’t miss my cool-weather wine picks from the folks at H-E-B. Check out the full segment here!

Tanji’s Wine Picks:
Bubbles are great year round. The A to Z Wineworks Bubbles Sparkling Wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes and has more body than your typical bubbly. It’s dry, with good acidity, and pairs well with just about everything. $17
This next pick is one of my go-to’s: the Crossings Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Like much of the Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand, it’s brimming with zesty citrus notes and will pair great with seafood! $13
Sometimes I have a hard time finding a Pinot Noir that I enjoy – I usually reach for more expensive bottles. However, the Joliesse Pinot Noir has changed my mind. You’ll get hints of dark red fruits like cherries and plums with more delicate nuances of strawberries and cinnamon. $9
If you’re looking for a higher end Pinot Noir, try the Planet Oregon Soter Pinot Noir. Oregon makes great wines and is most famous for its Pinot Noir. This is a medium to full bodied red with bright aromas of fresh strawberries and flowers. It has a surprisingly savory finish. $20 (Give your local H-E-B a call before you head to the store – some H-E-B locations don’t carry this bottle)
Special thanks to News 4 WOAI San Antonio Living for all the fun! As always, all of these bottles (and many more!) can be found at your local H-E-B.
