A new season means new wine finds! I can’t wait for you to see what picks I have in store for you. To kick it off, I’m starting with a banger that’s only $10, plus a few more that I think you’ll enjoy. As always, you can find these bottles at your local H-E-B!
Up first, from a very popular California winery – the J Pinot Noir. It’s a blend of pinot grapes from Sonoma, Monterey County and Santa Barbara. This is a velvety soft Pinot that tastes of raspberry, dark cherry and boysenberry. Like all Pinot Noirs, it will pair beautifully with almost anything. $23
Next, is my $10 wine find of the year! Say hello to Xiloca Garnacha from Spain. I enjoy a variety of wines from Spain because they are an incredible value and the country is churning out some really good stuff. Garnache is an enticing, spicy wine varietal that pairs very well with grilled and braised meats of all kinds, like burgers and brisket. $10
Don’t worry white wine lovers, I’ve got you covered with the Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. This one is zesty and citrusy, but also has notes of tropical fruit. It’s fantastic with Asian food, grilled chicken and even salads. $15
As always, all of these bottles (and many more!) can be found at your local H-E-B.
