We take a scenic road trip to a shack in the Hill Country: The Alamo Springs Café . This tiny spot is serving up massive, juicy burgers and was voted one of the very best hamburger spots in all of the Lone Star State by Texas Monthly Magazine. Plus, it boasts a phenomenal bat cave nearby with a STUNNING sight to be seen when those creepy creatures take flight.
Then, we visit one of the oldest buildings in Austin that’s believed to be haunted. The Clay Pit is a modern Indian restaurant with spicy calamari and kebabs fired up in an authentic tandoor oven.
Lastly, we finish strong at the Crawfish Shack in Crosby just outside Houston, where a husband and wife duo are cooking up more Cajun crawfish than anywhere else in America (6,000 pounds a day!).
Don’t miss out on all of the action (and incredible H-E-B wines ).
