Make the holidays even merrier with a special wine worth every penny! Even though you may be spending the season with fewer friends and family this year, you can still make it feel special with a celebratory wine. As always, you can get these bottles (and many more!) at your local H-E-B.
Up first, for chardonnay fans, this one is a stunner from Willamette. Tanji loves the Oregon spot for its pinot noirs, but this Lingua Franca Avni Chardonnay is what she’s raving about! You’ll taste bright apple and citrus with vibrant acidity. $38
Next, a great find and a great bargain — the Mon Frère Pinot Noir! Mon frère, French for ‘my brother,’ is a tribute to those special friends who feel like family. This very affordable pinot has earthy notes with black cherries and well-balanced acidity making it very easy to pair with all kinds of food — chicken, meat and even seafood! $14
Big and bold, this wine drinks like a more expensive wine, but it has a very approachable price point. The nicely balanced Hearst Ranch Winery ‘Bunkhouse’ Cabernet Sauvignon will be a highlight on any table. This wine reinforces the reputation of the wonderful wines coming out of Paso Robles California. $24
