The guests are invited, the menu is set, now all you need to figure out is what you’re drinking! Red, white and even sparkling, we have a wine that we know will be a crowd-pleaser on Thanksgiving. As always, all of these bottles (and many more!) can be found at your local H-E-B.
First, a find that’s easy on the wallet—the Grounded Cabernet by Josh Phelps. This bottle over-delivers for the price! You’ll taste dark cherry, blackberry and even a hint of baking spices on the finish. This wine will pair well with whatever you’re cooking—ham, roast chicken, pork…and yes, turkey and dressing. $14
When it comes to Chardonnays, Burgundy Chardonnays are some of the best! This Joseph Drouhin Macon-Villages Chardonnay is lovely and hits all the right notes. Because it’s aged in stainless steel, the beautiful notes of pear and honey crisp apple shine. The wine has a bright acidity, so it will pair beautifully with cheese, poultry and rich cornbread stuffing. $14
Last, but not least, something bubbly! The Langlois Chateau Brut is a perfect party starter that will pair with everything on your table. This is a Crémant from a region in France with a long tradition of producing lively, bright sparkling wines. Similar to Champagne, Crémants have lovely finesse and delicate bubbles, but at a fraction of the price. $18
