The holidays are here and while for most Thanksgiving is on top of mind, many Texans are thinking about tamales! Tanji pays a visit to our friends at the KPRC studio to share some of the best spots in Houston including Hugo’s, Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen, Irma’s Original and Ninfa’s to grab yourself a dozen (or a couple) of the good stuff. Or if you’re wanting to try to make them at home she shares this relatively easy recipe from Goya Foods for their delicious Cheese and Chile Tamales. Plus, we didn’t forget the holiday-ready H-E-B wine finds! Check out the full segment here!
Tanji’s Picks:
The Calling Pinot Noir ($33)
The Calling Chardonnay ($52)
Thomas Schmitt Kabinett Riesling ($17)
A special thank you to our friends at Kuhl-Linscomb for the beautiful tablescapes. And thanks to KPRC for all the fun! As always, many of these bottles (and many more!) can be found at your local H-E-B. Wine prices and availability are subject to change and may vary.
