We make our way to the Texas barbecue capital, Lockhart, and sit down with the “Queen of Texas Barbecue” herself, Norma Jean Black. She played a huge part in the success of The Original Black’s Barbecue by creating the first side dish ever sold there: her famous barbecue beans. She not only shares her recipe, but also a special technique called “bumpin’ the beans” that is integral to it.
