Texas! It’s Restaurant Week(s) everywhere, including here in Houston. You all know I love to explore around Texas and find the best places to dine and wine. Today I visit with my friends at KPRC and I share some must-stop places for Houston’s Restaurant Weeks, including Masraff’s, Third Coast and check out the full segment to see my third pick (hint: “go big or go home” with this place). Restaurant Weeks in Houston end September 2, 2019, so get out there and make your reservations. I also share two wine picks you can sip at home, on a patio, with friends, or all of the above. My Wine Finds:
If you like whites, and who doesn’t in this heat, you’ll enjoy this pick. The Josh Wines are always one of my go-tos and their Chardonnay is quickly becoming a new favorite! This Chard is a perfect porch sipper and a refreshing “cool off in the summer” wine. You can find it for under $15 at H-E-B.
Next, a new favorite, and I would say, “the find of the year,” is a non-traditional red wine: the Juan Gil Red Blend from the Jumilla region of Spain. The flavors have a big jammy profile, this is a vibrant red wine you won’t want to miss, and the price is also unbeatable at around only $15.
As always, thank you to our good friends at KPRC in Houston! You can find all of these wines at your local H-E-B or buy them online at HEB.com. Bonus: Get 10% off your entire purchase when you buy six or more bottles.
