This particular meeting was a real treat for me. I first met Sommelier Rajat Parr at RN74 in San Francisco — one of my very favorite restaurants anywhere. His book, Secrets of the Sommeliers, is an excellent guide for anyone with an interest in wine, no matter your experience level or familiarity. It also chronicles his experiences as a wine industry luminary. Rajat is a true believer that wine should be delicious, simple, accessible and easily understood. I couldn’t agree more!
Be sure to watch our interview and see us sample some of Rajat’s very own wine from his Sandhi Wines, born out of his pursuit to produce California wines with acidity, balance and finesse. While building his various wine programs, Raj has had ample opportunity to become familiar with many of California’s greatest wines, vineyards and styles.
After a number of years producing in small quantities, he founded Sandhi in 2009, with the dream to make a great Chardonnay for California. There are so many aromas and flavors in each bottle. You’ll taste the vibrancy and freshness of the Old World in each glass!
