Check out some of my picks participating in San Antonio Restaurant Week! Expect specialized lunch and dinner menus at over 100 local restaurants for a limited time! The event, actually two weeks, runs from August 13-27.
If there’s a spot you’ve had your eye on, or a special occasion to celebrate, this is the time to go!
Boudro’s
You simply can’t beat Boudro’s. Their Restaurant Week menu is fabulous – no surprise! Executive Chef Robbie Nowlin always has a creative spin up his sleeve. Two standouts include-
Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon with jasmine rice, zucchini “slaw”, roma tomato, and soy-ginger glaze:
AND this Coffee Lacquered Duck Leg with sherry braised lentils, baby spinach and huckleberry reduction:
Nosh
I’m the first to admit, my husband and I are a fixture here! We love Chef Luca’s cooking, from the fantastic hand-tossed pizzas to those irresistible mussels with Spanish chorizo sauce.
My go-to is still the Nosh Shrimp Salad – seriously the perfect summer dish – with vine ripe tomato, red onion, avocado and fresh basil in a beautifully balanced house vinaigrette.
Silo
At sister restaurant to Nosh, it’s all about those Pan Seared Sea Scallops, plated with Lyonnaise fingerling potatoes, sautéed garlic spinach–together in an orange-rosemary cream sauce:
Wines:
Two of my very favorite summer varietals! Find them all at H-E-B!
1. Rosé- AIX & Los Dos
2. Sauvignon Blanc- The Crossings & Chateau Bonnet
