Gusto Bacon Pizza
Seasonal Bacon Pizza with Mozzarella, artichokes and rosemary from Gusto Italian Kitchen + Wine Bar in Austin, TX!
Ingredients
Pizza Dough (Single Pizza):
- 1/3 c warm water
- ¼ oz Olive Oil Pinch Brown Sugar
- ½ tsp Yeast
- ¼ lb Dough Starter
- 3 ½ lb High Gluten Flour
For the Pizza:
- 1 c Pizza Sauce
- 3 large slices Applewood smoked bacon roughly diced
- ½ c Artichoke Hearts
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 ¼ c shredded Mozzarella
Instructions
For the Pizza Dough:
- Mix water, oil, sugar, & yeast for 2 mins in mixer. Add starter & mix for 2 minutes.
- Add flour and mix on low until dough forms.
- Mix on medium for 10 minutes. Rest for 30.
- Roll flat on floured surface.
For the Pizza:
- Arrange all items on rolled dough and place in a 500 degree oven for 12 mins.
