Aldaco's Watermelon Margarita
This fun twist on Texas-favorite margaritas adds watermelon for a delightfully refreshing and easy-to-make drink, courtesy of Blanca Aldaco of Aldaco’s Stone Oak.
Ingredients
- 2 cups diced watermelon
- 1½ ounces Partida Tequila Blanco
- 1 ounce fresh watermelon juice (see note in recipe)
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce agave nectar (diluted: half nectar, half water)
- Ice
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients. Shake gently about 12 times.
- Serve in chilled martini glass.
Watermelon Juice:
- Blend diced watermelon.
- Strain and save the pulp.
- Place pulp in jar and add just a bit of watermelon water to the pulp to form a “light” paste thickness, basically forming a liquid concentrate.
