Cold Outside? Turn the heat up inside! Nothing to warm you up like a big bowl of hot chili. When I heard we were in for a 'frozen' week, I called Dean at 410 Diner to see if he'd share his recipe...he agreed. Enjoy!


  • 3 lbs ground sirloin(90/10)
  • 2 15-oz. cans ranch style beans
  • 2 15-oz. cans kidney beans
  • 2 15-oz. cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 14-oz. cans tomato juice
  • 8 oz. Chopped onion
  • 2 oz. Chopped fresh garlic
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 oz. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 oz. chili powder
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

    1. In a large saucepan, brown ground sirloin with onion, garlic, seasoned salt, salt and pepper. Drain grease. To ground beef mixture, add diced tomatoes, tomato juice, ranch style beans, kidney beans, worcestershire sauce, chili powder and brown sugar. Cook over low heat for about 30 minutes. Top with grated cheddar cheese, onions or tortilla chips if desired.
