No denying it. We’re all watching our ‘eating out’ money a little more closely. Maybe you’re eating out twice a week instead of three, or just being very selective when you do dine out.
Either way, your help is needed for a worthy cause indeed. The Liberty Bistro is a charming restaurant not far from the square in New Braunfels. It occupies the town’s original post city hall – and yes, the food is fabulous.
The restaurant’s theme is as the name implies – freedom, liberty and justice for all. Not a partisan place by any stretch, but a cool, cozy tavern-like bistro that’s décor reflects our nation’s history.
In addition to the main dining room, there’s the Treasury Room which truly is a vault from 1929 that houses the wine cellar as well as historic American documents.
The Senate and House are semi-private rooms for parties, and then the Executive Branch is the fully private room. The place is so tastefully done— not cliché at all.
Just like our country’s forefathers, the owners of Liberty Bistro are facing these challenging times with creative, bold moves.
They’re asking their loyalists to buy ‘Liberty bonds’. The money raised will be held in an escrow account to help keep the restaurant and its employees working. If you own one of the Liberty Bonds, each time you dine you get a discount on your meal until your bond is ‘paid off’.
I love the concept, really enjoy this restaurant and personally know two of the owners (they’re locals, btw). They’re good people.
So, if the American spirit of hard work and determinations movivates you too, buy a Liberty Bond from Liberty Bistro. You’ll love the food, and I’ll bet you make some great new friends.
If you’d like more info or to buy a Liberty Bond, email them.
