What’s old is new again at Houston’s Wine & Food Week 2013! In its 9th year, this destination event continues to feature exceptional wine experiences (for the novice to the enthusiast), paired with delicacies created by some of America’s top chefs!
‘Food Network Star’ Emily Ellyn [above] has been named the 2013 Wizard Gourmet for this epicurean extravaganza, June 3-9. Emily is infamous for taking family recipes and turning them sideways, or “re-doing” them to make them more trendy. She has a quirky/retro rad style that should lend itself nicely to hosting duties.
Expect scores of events with more than 500 wines, 50 restaurants, legendary wine producers and culinary personalities from around the globe — as well as a vast collection of craft beers and gourmet food purveyors — that await you!
Wine education classes, chef demonstrations, cookbook author events, live and silent auctions, and casual to fine wine-and-dine experiences round out the week’s festivities. It’s a ton of fun and a great way to learn more about wines and fine dining featuring sustainable ingredients. A win/win!
