Expect fireworks for these newly shelved wines at your local H-E-B! Something for palates across the board this summer. We’re spotlighting a pricier bottle of red, a popular, inexpensive white and our rosé of right now…
If you’ve tried the Lady Lola Pinot Grigio Moscato, their off dry rosé comes in a very pretty, distinctive shaped bottle. A little sweet and very fruity…raspberry, strawberry flavors with hints of cranberry on the finish. It’s made from 70% merlot with the remaining 30% from grapes indigenous to northern part of Italy. A very refreshing rosé for around $13.
This R Collection Sauvignon Blanc is a California white that retails for just $10.98! Sauvignon Blancs are growing rapidly in popularity based on recent market trends. Looking for something a little lighter in terms of your whites? This is your guy. You’ll taste lime, green apple, a bit of gooseberry. I like it as a porch wine paired with something equally light and fresh…white fish or crab perhaps.
Beringer is not only known for the white zinfandels they produce, but also some of your bigger reds. This Beringer Knights Valley Reserve is a Cabernet Sauvignon with nice structure! Flavors of blackberry, plum, cedar and anise. Here’s your next steak wine if you so please. A match for veal chops or BBQ duck as well…get fancy. 😉
Treat yourself to this lovely bottle for $60. And it’s a great time to spring for that Beringer. When you buy 6 or more bottles at H-E-B – even those items already on-sale, 1.5 liters or sparklings – receive an additional 10% discount on your total purchase!
