I don’t it doesn’t feel like it yet — but cooler weather is on the way! Fall will be here soon enough and we found some awesome red wines for the seasonal switch ahead of schedule at H-E-B! My ‘Wine Guy’ Ralph Cortez at the H-E-B Plus at Blanco & 1604 has three varietals we fancy…
Chateau Routas Rosé
A traditional Provence style rosé is hard to beat! It’s dry (not sweet) with hints of strawberry, nice minerality and a clean finish.
The Advocate Red Blend
This blend of Cabernet/Merlot/Malbec is a beauty from Browne Family Vineyards. Medium to full-bodied with notes of tobacco, chocolate as well as some spice. Good all by itself!
Double Canyon Cabernet Sauvignon
Softer, more ‘finesse’ with this Cab out of Washington State. Blackberry, plum and cherry flavors. A great value buy!
