Seriously Southern Eats at Moonshiners in Houston

At The Moonshiners Southern Table & Bar, cocktails with homemade moonshine come in Mason jars and comfort food is meant to be shared! We’re savoring each delectable bite of this South of the Mason-Dixon-line inspired spot in Houston.

Sports fans will love this spot, not just for the many TVs lining the place to watch the game with friends, but also for their Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese (above). It happens to be a favorite of World Series Champion Houston Astros Player Alex Bregman — he even gave a shout-out in Rolling Stone! It’s made with slow-smoked brisket and an assortment of cheeses on grilled Texas toast. It’s to-die-for!

You may want to team up on Moonshiners’ Southern Table Smoked Brisket Nachos (above) — they’re a mouthful! They’re made with crispy kettle chips and topped with brisket, barbecue sauce, garden fresh tomatoes, cheddar cheese, chives and a drizzle of sour cream. They’re perfect for happy hour!

You can’t have a Southern restaurant without paying homage to someone’s Mama! Mama’s Fried Chicken Sandwich is ‘mom approved’ with crispy fried chicken breast, applewood smoked bacon, homemade bun and a hearty ladle of ranch dressing.

Y’all looking for something a little lighter? The Kountry Kobb is packed with juicy grilled chicken, crispy bacon, fresh avocado slices, buttery homemade croutons and even a pair of Deviled Eggs!

Save for room for dessert! This classic Banana Pudding is served right inside a Mason jar, stacked with cream cheese, bananas, vanilla wafers and a crown of whipped topping. It’s great for sharing, but we won’t judge you if you eat the whole thing by yourself! It’s that good!

Don’t forget — Moonshiners also does a marvelous brunch! Stop in between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays to enjoy it!
