Tanji Talks: Stay on Track with Your Diet with Food and Wine

When you’re on a diet, you still want to be excited about what you’re putting into your body! I shared with my friends at CBS Austin some of the great tasting and good-for-you dishes at Mr. Natural in Austin, in addition to wines that are waistline friendly. Catch the full segment here.

Tanji’s Wine Finds:

First, I recommend the Codorniu Anna Brut. Made in the same method as Champagne, it’s a dry sparkling with citrus flavors of lemon, grapefruit and lime. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something low calorie. $13

The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and bright with hints of citrus and tropical fruits. It’s another low-alcohol find and pairs great with a salad. $13

Coming from the Chianti region is the Piccini Memoro Red. It has notes of dark cherries, figs, coffee and oak. The key to keeping red wines diet-friendly is portion control in the pour and opting for a smaller glass. $10
