An iced glass of sangria is one of my favorite summer drinks. You can make it your own by playing around with different wine, fruit and boozy mix-ins. I visit my friends at Houston Life and share 3 sangrias to try out and about and at home. Watch the segment here.
Tanji’s Finds:
Rainbow Lodge makes a Streamside Sangria that’s made with an Italian Rosé, lemon, grapefruit and orange liquor. $10
This Piña Colada Sangria is the tropics in a glass! Sauvignon Blanc is mixed with coconut water, rum, lime juice, fresh kiwi and pineapple to make a fantastic drink to sip on poolside.
Watermelon is the most iconic summertime fruit, so it’s no surprise that this Watermelon Sangria will cool you right down in these hot summer months. Making your own watermelon juice at home or buy it from H-E-B, then mix with a bottle of dry white wine, vodka, Cointreau or triple sec and an easy homemade citrus syrup.
As always, thank you to our good friends at KPRC Click2Houston! You can find all of the wine you need to make your own sangria at your local H-E-B or buy online at HEB.com. Don’t forget: Get 10% off your entire purchase when you buy six or more bottles!
