First up, we visit a cozy little spot across the street from the famous Gruene Hall in New Braunfels that has an impressive bar stretching over 55 feet long! At Mozie’s, they serve up cushy sliders, phenomenal turkey chili and the cheesiest nachos this side of the Pecos! Then, pull up a seat at Picoso’s Mexican Kitchen in Lubbock, a Tex-Mex gem with classics like crispy Chile Rellenos and their signature ultra-cheesy, deep-fried stuffed avocado. Here, generosity is the real star: the owners donate all (yes, ALL) of their profits to those in need. Lastly, meet two lifelong friends who risked everything as teenagers to chase the American dream. Every dish at Blue Corn Harvest is made with fresh local produce, plus the can’t-miss crispy Pork Enchiladas are some of the BEST I’ve ever had.
Don’t miss out on all of the action (and incredible H-E-B wines).

Made the Goya’s green Garden Hummus to enjoy today for Easter. Also using Blue Corn Harvest roasted pork recipe for our entree! Thank you, Tanji. Enjoyed this episode.

On TV (4/22/20), Blue Corn Harvest (Georgetown) demonstrated how they bake pork in the oven for 3 hours. I’d like that recipe, but cannot find it on your website. Can you help me to get it??
Tanji says
That recipe they didn’t share…but you might get pretty close to recreating it by watching the cooking segment. As I recall, it was an interesting array of ingredients in the marinade that was the key to the great flavor–that dish was over the top amazing! I’ll reach out to them and see if they’ll share, but meantime, the link to their segment is here https://www.goodtaste.tv/2020/01/10/chasing-the-american-dream-at-blue-corn-harvest/
