This weekend, Goodtaste visits a new restaurant outside of Houston with bright, modern decor and clever dishes like the Elote Caesar, a kicked-up Caesar salad topped with Mexican street corn and cornbread croutons. We also get a taste of Cajun country in West Texas where we dig into dishes like ‘The Dirty Bird,’ deep-fried chicken with dirty rice and ‘bayou’ gravy, and a fried empanada-style hand pie stuffed with spicy crawfish and smothered in étouffée.
