Are you ready for Fiesta, San Antonians? It’s a great time of year to celebrate all the things Texas does best – Tex-Mex, music, margaritas, and so much more! Held from April 18th to April 28th, there are multiple events on each day of Fiesta. Here are some of the culinary highlights of Fiesta 2024! Taste of the Republic / April 18
Taste of the Republic is the official foodie kickoff event of Fiesta San Antonio. Taking place on Thursday, April 18th at the Briscoe Western Art Museum’s Jack Guenther Pavilion, the event will feature 11 San Antonio chefs cooking up their version of bites from six culinary regions across Texas. Each dish will be paired with a complimentary wine selection. Beer and cocktails will also be available. Tickets are $125 per person and include sample dishes from each chef, alcoholic beverages, and music. The event will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For tickets, click here.
Taste of the Northside / April 18
The Taste of the Northside event will be held on Thursday, April 18th from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the SSFCU event center. All of the proceeds will benefit the Brighton Center to help children with disabilities and delays. Guests will sample food from more than 30 restaurants like Mi Familia, Chicken & Pickle, and Sea Island Shrimp House. There will also be wine, beer, and cocktails available. Taste of New Orleans / April 19 – 21
Let the good times roll at this year’s Taste of New Orleans! The three-day event will be held at the Sunken Garden Theatre on Friday, April 19th from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, April 20th from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, April 21st from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The family-friendly atmosphere will include live music throughout the three days along with kids’ activities such as rides, play areas, face painting, and more. Feast on New Orleans food like gumbo, red beans and rice, shrimp creole, etouffee, jambalaya, catfish, crawfish boils, boudin, gator, beignets, and more. Chili Queens Chili Cook Off / April 20
The Chili Queens Chili Cook-Off is a free event. Guests can taste chili samples – and vote on their favorite – from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bonham Exchange. For more information about the event, click here.
A Night in Old San Antonio / April 23 – 26
A Night in Old San Antonio, also known as NIOSA, benefits The Conservation Society of San Antonio. This 3-night event will be held on April 23rd to April 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with food and music that celebrates San Antonio’s diversity. 10th Street River Festival / April 25
The 10th Street River Festival will be held at the VFW on Thursday, April 25th from 3 p.m. to midnight, Friday, April 26th from 12 p.m. to midnight, and Saturday, April 27th from 12 p.m. to midnight. This pet-friendly, family-friendly event will have live entertainment, dancing, and plenty of food and drink on site for purchase. Admission is free. For more information on this event, click here.
