We try Italian Nachos, smoked duck pastrami and heavenly cake served a la mode. Our first stop is in Montgomery, where we grab a slice of East Coast Italian at Pizza Shack. Here, they make a cheesy pie that’s the equivalent of three large pizzas and nearly the size of a Ford F-150 tire! Then we’re making our way to the capital city where lunchtime has never looked better. Noble Sandwich Co. makes stacked sandwiches piled high with fresh ingredients like house-cured pork and homemade Pimento Cheese. Our last visit is in Dallas to The Woolworth, a landmark that now houses a spacious bistro and bar. We’ll try its handcrafted cocktails and sweet and tangy Ahi Tuna Wontons.
