What a great time of year to visit Gruene, TX just outside of New Braunfels on the Guadalupe River. Whether you’re hungry after a fun day on the river or if you’ve got a large group of people and want a great place to hang for a few hours, head to the Gristmill Restaurant.

Summer Food at Gristmill
Any time of year is a good time to go to Gruene, Texas…but summertime is perfect for enjoying the river, flip-flops and good food with ice cold beer.
‘Good Ole Boys’ & Good Times at Mozie’s
I absolutely love Mozie’s, the new restaurant in Gruene, Texas. Pat Molak and the gang did an incredible job restoring this 100+ year old building. And the food is delicious. It’s hard to choose between the decadently, deliciously greasy sliders and the fresh chicken salad — then there are those amazing little ribs.
A New Place in Gruene
There’s a new place in Gruene…ya gotta check out. It’s Mozies’ bar and grill. The building dates back to 1903 – a lot’s changed but a lot hasn’t – original floors, windows, walls… but wait till you see the incredibly loooong bar!
Becker Vineyards
If you want a true Texas wine experience with about the friendliest people you’ll find anywhere, Becker Vineyards just east of Fredericksburg is the place you won’t want to miss.
