Just about any Saturday morning starting bright and early you can find a Farmers’ Market, but the key to getting the really good stuff is getting there early…until now.
Sleepy Heads, there’s a new Farmers’ Market in town just for you. It’s on Saturdays, and great news, it doesn’t even start till 1pm. You can sleep till noon and still find some awesome locally produced cheeses, yard eggs, lavender…you name it.
I liked everything I sampled including the Texas olive oils and the delicious St. Arnold’s mustard. The chocolate filled croissants with pecan caramel topping were also divine.
The ‘After Market Market’ is the brainchild of Haven Restaurant Chef and owner Randy Evans. Haven is a wonderful new restaurant that features organic produce and locally sourced products. When you come to the Farmers’ Market, Haven’s comfy patio will beckon for brunch – heed the call! The food is some of the best I’ve had in Houston.
