Exploring new wines is what makes drinking wine so much fun! That’s why my wine finds this week are all choices for serious wine fans!
Magnolia Chardonnay
Up first, a lovely chardonnay from the Krutz family called “Magnolia.” You’ll love this one — especially my chardonnay fans — with its flavors of green apples, a hint of pineapple, and lots of citrus. This wine will pair perfectly with roasted chicken, fish, and pasta dishes. And at $19.98 a bottle, you’ll love the price!
The Dark Red Wine
Don’t be afraid of “The Dark” — because it’s delicious! The Dark wine’s flavor match its name: think dark purple plum, blackberries, cassis with a finish of chocolate. The wine is a blend of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot and pairs magnificently with hearty meats like lamb or a slow-cooked roast or steak. It’s by itself, too — and what’s really nice is the price! You can find it at H-E-B for $16.98.
Fortnight Cabernet Sauvignon
Once upon a fortnight I found a luscious cabernet called “Fortnight.” This Napa Valley winemaker has also made wines for Regusci Winery. You’ll note blackberries and cassis, highlighted by touches of vanilla and sage, with a hint of cedar and dark chocolate. It has a velvety smooth finish and well worth the $19 bottle price!
As always, you can find all of my wine finds at H-E-B!
